With technology being what it is- challenges do present themselves in the life of the average QuickBooks user.  In this edition I wish to look at some useful tools which may come in handy next time QuickBooks needs repairing.

QuickBooks ‘Toolkit’.

Whether you’re faced with an emailing/printing issue or having trouble accessing your data file over your network; there’s bound to be a tool that’ll fix it. Next time you get stuck, give the following tools a try…

QB Install Tool

You can download and run the QBInstall tool to fix a wide variety of error messages you may receive when installing QuickBooks, such as: 1603, 1935, 1904, 1402.

These errors can occur if your Operating System is damaged or one of the core Microsoft components QuickBooks uses is unstable or not functioning correctly.

QB Network Tool and diagnostics

QuickBooks File Doctor is what you need if you can’t open your company file, most 6000 series errors (such as 6129, 613, 6000 83, etc), an H202 error, or other networking errors regarding multi-user setup.

QuickBooks File Doctor will:

  • Fix the problems it can.
  • Point you to information you need to fix the problem yourself.
  • If you need to call Support, give you information about your file that our support team can use to help you.
