The National Small Business Chamber (NSBC) hosted the Small Business Champion Awards: South Africa 2014 at a gala ball on the 6th November 2014. The star-studded event attracted business leaders from small and large businesses, government representatives, and of course, the finalists in the five categories, Small Business Champion of the Year, Entrepreneur Champion of the Year,Women in Business Champion of the Year, Young Entrepreneur Champion of the Year, and Exporter Champion of the Year.

EasyBiz QuickBooks was proud to be the sponsor of the Entrepreneur Champion of the Year Award 2014 and shares the view of the NSBC that the importance of small business to local, national and international economies should not be underestimated.  This event is all about recognising the hard work, sweat, perseverance and determination required for a small business to make it past the first 1 000 days – a challenge over 80% of small businesses in South Africa don’t achieve. This event acknowledges the champions who made it through and are making a difference in their families lives and the lives of their community,

For QuickBooks, a business that is committed to supporting the spirit of entrepreneurship in South Africa, it was an honour to be the sponsor of the extremely prestigious National Entrepreneur Champion Award 2014.  This year, the award was won by the very talented Lindiwe Shibambo, who started Maid4u  as a way to help underprivileged women find their feet in the economy. Maid4U is in a process of opening the first training academy, which will be training woman from all walks of life in housekeeping, domestic services, cleaning, nanny and child minding skills.   Lindiwe is a wonderful example of the perseverance, passion and persistence that is required to be a successful entrepreneur.

If and when the contract is terminated, each party will, save to the extent that it is required to do otherwise by any applicable law, erase or cause to be erased, all PI and all copies of any part of the PI relating to the other party”.
