Maxene is a hardworking single parent of a three year old little girl and started her business, K’s INCARE Domestic and Gardening Services as she saw a gap in the market for the need for cleaning and gardening services in the Centurion area and wanted to find a way to be able to spend more time with her daughter. Her business caters for household and industrial cleaning and gardening needs. Her business is only six months old, but already boasts a number of customers who are happy with their services. In between running her business, she attends training at SEDA and has also recently attended a ‘how to tender’ workshop, which has assisted her with insight into the tendering process.
Said Maxene, “I started my business K’s INCARE Domestic and Gardening Services because I would like to help combat unemployment in our country and I believe that I can make a difference, because the market for cleaning and gardening services is huge. Instead of people going door-to-door looking for a cleaning job, they can register with my agency, where I do all the necessary background checks and interviews etc., so that my potential clients can go on about their daily duties without having to stress about interviews. I am passionate about helping people and my long term plans include teaching my staff skills such as carpentry, first aid, cooking baking and how to operate the latest appliances”.
