Millions of users across the globe think that QuickBooks is absolutely perfect. But, at QuickBooks, we think perfect is a moving target. We’re constantly innovating to ensure that we stay the most desirable small business accounting software in South Africa.

Business is constantly evolving, and so are its processes. This means that we need to keep evolving to meet the needs of our users. To this end, we have ushered in 2018 with some brilliant new additions to our software package.

Here are just some of the awesome new features that await QuickBooks’ users this year.

2018 Additions to QuickBooks Accounting Software

  1. Security

As more and more business moves online, cyber security has become one of the world’s biggest concerns at the end of this decade. Understanding this, we have been developing our security offering for a long time.

Our 2018 package comes with Personally Identifiable Information with password encryption as well as enhanced security on email integration.

  1. Merge Multiple Vendors

If you have multiple vendors whose accounts you need to consolidate, this is easily done through this new feature. Our 2018 addition allows you to easily merge multiple vendors. And, with our enhanced search functionality, you can easily search for duplicate vendors for merging.

  1. Multi-Monitor Support

Managing your accounts may often call for cross-referencing documents, forms, and other accounts. This can become confusing if you only have a single monitor to work with. But, with this new feature, you can open QuickBooks on multiple windows across more than one screen.

  1. Past-Due Date Stamp

QuickBooks already allows you to auto-generate invoices. But, thanks to this 2018 addition, it now allows you to mark invoices which have exceeded their due date for payment. This gives you better control over your inbound cash-flow and ensures that you won’t let unpaid invoices slip through the cracks.

  1. Switch Between Accrual and Cash Basis

Choosing between accrual and cash basis depends entirely on your business type. Medium-sized businesses often prefer an accrual basis, while small businesses tend to operate on a cash basis.

You might not be sure which one is best for your business. But, fortunately, you don’t have to choose. With this new feature, you can effortlessly switch from an accrual to a cash basis in the Reports window.
