A move to online gives The Back Office Solutions the winning edge

The pandemic has seen South Africans shift and adapt to a new remote working culture. While many claim to be more productive, without online solutions, remote working can be a tedious task, with many unable to access crucial files and documents to be effective.

Liezel Govender, Financial Advisor at The Back Office Solutions, explains that her transition to the accounting sector from the medical research field was born from a passion for accounting and tax. “I’ve always been fascinated by accounting, and decided to transition into the field several years ago. After completing a qualification in Financial Accounting through ICB and further specialising in tax through SAIT, I began my practical training with BNP Chartered Accountants.

“I was then outsourced to a section of payroll, which afforded me the opportunity to begin working with private clients as a registered business accountant, with the aim of helping businesses to streamline their bookkeeping and accounting operations,” she adds.

Having previously worked with QuickBooks’ desktop solutions for the better part of two years, Govender explains that when lockdown began, she knew the transition to online was inevitable, and that QuickBooks Online was the solution.

“My team of consultants offer comprehensive business support services, including debt consolidation, business networking, funding application support, financial modeling and business rescue,” she explains. “Having transitioned to QuickBooks Online and effectively migrated my client base to the solution has given me and my team the opportunity to fine-tune our efficiency and better increase our proficiency by proactively my meeting and exceeding client requirements.”

Govender says QuickBooks Online offers a consolidated front- and back-end system that provides an accurate indication of the business operations in relation to profit and loss management. “Apart from the preciseness of VAT detailing, the ease of making corrections, tracing from an auditing perspective, and remote functionality provided by cloud backup, QuickBooks Online is revolutionary for the world of accounting.

“Given the decentralisation of business operations as a result of Covid-19, QuickBooks Online’s real-time backup, online functionality, proactive reporting and multiple user functionality has been a game changer. Combined with quick and simple training, these make QuickBooks Online a true recipe for success, and my team and clients couldn’t be happier,” notes Govender.

Bridget du Toit, Head of Sales and Services for EasyBiz Technologies, says Govender is one of a number of accountants who are reaping the rewards of QuickBooks Online. “Quickbooks Online offers accountants an effective, efficient and easy to use platform to do business. It also affords them more time to focus on the needs of their clients and grow their clientele bases. This, we believe, is key to their success.”
